THE LOVE LIST
We moved to the Norfolk Broads last year, attracted like wedding crazed Moths to all the amazing Norfolk wedding venues!
We've created a list of venues we would really like to work at again and some we can’t wait to visit! If your Norfolk wedding venue is on our love list, we'd love to hear from you!
A historic Georgian house in the heart of Norwich, this little gem has all you need for a small to medium sized wedding with a very funky modern approach. 1100 positive Google reviews say it all. Click here to see the venue on our blog.
A 900 year old castle built by the Normans. We haven’t met anyone called Norman there but this place is very Norwich and a good start point to get the legal stuff done before going to your reception venue. Some cool street/wedding photo opportunities too if you fancy a wander through the market on the way out!
A hidden city oasis, full of character and perfect for small to medium weddings. If you’re looking for a cosy feel with epic surroundings and food that’s off the hook, a must view. Click here to see the venue on our blog.
Lots of traditional Norfolk goodness but with an outdoor festival/Boho thang going on. Straw bales and firepit included for the wedding that all your friends talk about for years to come. Awesome.
Hush is cool, like the Mad Hatter wanted a woodland venue and festival setting combined. Plenty of room for your guests to camp out and avoid a drive home at the end of the night. We’re suckers for trees and woodland weddings are wonderful.
So much going on at Hockering house, from stately home setting through to woodland and festival arrangements and accommodation onsite. Excellent all rounder.
If glamping is your thing (actually there’s a hot tub, so really very glam indeed) then Happy valley could be perfect, you can hire the place for a whole weekend and enjoy a woodland or island ceremony outdoors too!
Pentney has some madly old (1380!)and beautiful architecture blended with purpose built modern wedding venue style so the day is going to look great whatever the weather. All the good things in a compact site.
Camping, a warehouse and a retro bus all at one venue. All of the things you need for a festival style wedding are ticked here, including food options (did somebody say pizza?).
Fishley Hall has all the things. An old grain barn, Fishley hall itself for accommodation , a meadow (perfect for tipis, marquees and a festival vibe), mega cute church and of course, the river Bure running through it's 350 acres of countryside. Pretty much all the things you could wish for for a top banana wedding weekend!
Just down the road from us in Ormesby Broad with decking and a jetty adjoining the water, your guests will really feel like they're on a country retreat with drinks and canapes being served out on the deck. You can turn up in a boat and your guests can do a little rowing too! We love the waterside stuff and the venue has that going on.
Firstly, these peeps do an awesome BBQ! Actually, all the food is great here and the venue has modern facilities combined with a country house feel. Plenty of space for all your guests and close to the water meadows for some photos too.
Hautbois has the complete Norfolk Country Hall wedding thing nailed down. Accommodation and space to make a weekend event for all your family and friends tucked away in the River Bure valley.
We almost want to keep this one a secret, it’s within walking distance of the beach near us and has all the potential for the best Summer wedding ever. We’ll say no more, but if you book here, give us a shout.
If the Norfolk coastal thing is in your blood, you’ll already have seen the windmill. Cute as a button. This venue has a maximum guest limit of 28, perfect for apocalypse weddings. (That last sentence will make sense only through 2020, hopefully)
We love a barn door, an old brick wall, fields and the beach close by. This venue is proper Norfolk. Lots of canopy area if the weather turns iffy and the sunsets are to die for.
A new kid on the block, opening spring next year. It has all the positives of a barn with all the class of a hall type venue. Some kind of luxury-rustic hybrid thing. We’re intrigued.
We figure that if Coco Chanel had arranged a Norfolk wedding, it’d probably have been at Voewood. Lots of pretty space, posh accommodation and a very classy arts and crafts feel. If you’re after the statement venue, this might be for you.
From little weddings in the Hall to huge ones in the Barn, Godwick have it all going on, accommodation in converted stable, shepherds huts or posh room in the hall itself - something for all your family and friends to relax in fine style. Do check out that barn though, it’s lush.
600 years in the making, Oxnead is a definitive country house wedding venue. Indoors or outdoors there are lots of options to shape your day. They even have an Orangery. Yes, an Orangery.
‘Best countryside wedding venue’ in the wedding industry awards. Southwood has all the things going on and a really upfront approach to helping couples plan their best day, you should check them out.
This place is mental, right up there on our wish list of venues to work at. If you’re looking to knock the day out of the park, this might be the place. Call us!
